Behavior based insurance feels very intrusive. Teaching, training and parenting may improve driving behavior quicker than a study (technical measurement) of behavior will improve driving behavior. Noticed that most group discounts related to education or vocation were not actuarily sound (so they have been lowered or removed) . Driving behavior has so many variables, very empirical based on judgement, skills, temperament (may be more art than science). Focus on measurement appears very simplistic. Like being very precise yet having inaccurate results!. Encouraging and rewarding good driving is very doable. Want better rates , drive better may be more sustainable!.
