Powers Insurance & Risk Management Adds Gaglioti and Hester

Powers Insurance & Risk Management, headquartered in St. Louis, hired Brittany Gaglioti as a commercial account manager and Contina Hester as a personal lines marketer.

Gaglioti oversees all aspects of the renewal process for the agency’s commercial lines clients and assists with new business sales. Gaglioti brings nearly ten years of experience in the insurance industry to her new position. Before joining Powers, she worked as a commercial lines account for a Delaware-based insurance agency.

Hester directs marketing efforts toward contracted carriers. She has five years of experience in the insurance industry, having previously served as a licensed account manager at M3 Insurance.

GuideOne Insurance Names Sheets SVP and General Counsel

GuideOne Insurance Company, headquartered in De Moines, Iowa, appointed Travis Sheets senior vice president and general counsel. Sheets is responsible for corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives, overseeing a broad range of corporate governance and legal functions, including regulatory compliance, while leading its legal team and outside counsel.

Previously, Sheets served as chief legal officer for BH Companies. He also served as vice president and deputy general counsel for American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company and senior counsel for HNI Corporation.
