People Moves: Severino Joins Alliant’s Midwest Benefits Team; Doubtless Names Wiley as Regional President for North America

Jeff Severino has joined Alliant Insurance Services as vice president within its employee benefits group on the Alliant Affinity team. Based in Kansas City, Severino will work with clients nationwide to design and develop tailored programs, drawing on a broad background spanning brokerage, underwriting, and client advisory.

Severino brings 25 years of insurance industry experience, with a strong background in program design in the association and affinity market.

His experience spans property and casualty, professional liability, management liability, and cyber programs. Having worked as both a broker and underwriter, Severino brings a well-rounded understanding of insurance and financial services products and is known for providing strategic guidance tailored to clients’ individual risk and business objectives.

Prior to joining Alliant, Severino was a senior vice president overseeing management liability programs with a national managing general agency.

Doubtless Names Karl Wiley as Regional President for North America

Doubtless, a global pet insurance and solutions organization, has appointed Karl Wiley as North America regional leader, effective October 12, 2026.

In this role, Wiley will lead Doubtless’ North American operations and portfolio of pet insurance and pet care brands, helping advance the company’s mission of increasing access to quality care for pet owners.

Wiley succeeds Kirk Haggard, who is retiring after a four-decade long career in the insurance industry and serving as CEO of Independence Pet Holdings and a key leader in the evolution of the business into Doubtless.

Wiley joins Chicago-based Doubtless with more than 30 years of experience spanning consumer and protection businesses, having spent time at Allstate, Shutterfly, Motif, eBay, Alibris and MicroPlace.
