Protegrity Services Inc., formerly Humana Workers’ Compensation Services, has successfully completed its sale by Humana Inc. through a management buyout.
The sale was originally announced Feb. 3. Protegrity is now headquartered in Longwood, Fla. Gene Roberts, retained as the new company’s president and chief executive officer, led Humana’s workers’ comp product business from its inception in 1993.
Protegrity serves over 18,000 business customers representing more than 450,000 employees in 17 southeastern and Midwestern states. It maintains market offices in Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Louisville, Oklahoma City, Nashville, San Antonio and Tampa.
