The fall meeting of the American Association of Managing General Agents, which recently took place in Carslbad, Calif., focused on the hardening market and privacy concerns As part of the meeting, AAMGA University gave a presentation on the impact of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999.
Participants in the discussion included Former Kentucky Insurance Commissioner Ronnie Moore and AAMGA Policy Counsel Bill Marcoux. Leonard LoVullo, AAMGA president and president of LoVullo Associates Inc. in Buffalo, N. Y., announced that a new board structure was approved. The new structure reduces the number of geographic regions into which members are assigned from three to two.
AAMGA’s Winter Meeting is scheduled to take place on Feb. 15-18, 2001, in Longboat Key, Fla. The association’s annual Automation Seminar will be held March 7-9 in Nashville, Tenn. The AAMGA Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 20-24 in Palm Desert, Calif.
