General Wilson C. “Bill” Cooney has joined the board of directors for InsuranceNoodle.com, a Chicago-based insurance e-broker. Cooney is chairman and CEO of the Cooney Group, a firm specializing in customer relationship management based in the U.S. He is also CEO of the Forces Group, based in the U.K., providing financial and insurance services to the British Armed Forces.
Cooney is a former senior executive at USAA. He joined the company following a 31-year career with the U.S. Air Force. During his 14-year tenure at USAA, he engineered major changes in service delivery technology and was also one of the original creators of the California Earthquake Authority, an $8 billion company that issues earthquake insurance to residents of California.
