Kemper Insurance Cos. has acquired 51 percent interest in Service Net, aligning the Louisville, Ky., company’s warranty and service management expertise with Kemper’s insurance and risk management capabilities.
Kemper and Service Net officials will share information about the alliance during the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Kemper Cost Management and Service Net will be aligned as a new Kemper business unit to be known as Kemper Warranty Services.
Service Net will manage and administer service contracts sold through its client manufacturers, retailers or distributors. Kemper will provide the insurance backing the warranty programs.
