A.M. Best Co. Executive Vice President Larry Mayewski announced the promotion of Matthew Mosher to group vice president of the Property/Casualty Rating Division.
Mosher succeeds Eric Simpson who accepted a position as senior vice president and CFO with American Re-Insurance’s flagship unit, Domestic Insurance Company Operations (DICO). Mosher joined A.M. Best in 1995 as senior financial analyst and actuary. In 2000, he was promoted to vice president, acting as the senior team leader within the Specialty Lines Group. According to A.M. Best, over the past 18 months, Mosher has effectively acted as the senior manager in the running of the day-to-day ratings operation, has demonstrated leadership abilities and is well respected within the industry, making him uniquely qualified to assume his new responsibilities.
John Andre, vice president, will continue to head up A.M. Best’s Personal Lines Group. Karen Horvath, vice president, will broaden her senior team leader responsibilities to include oversight of the Specialty Lines Group in addition to her existing Commercial Lines Group.
