Applied Unveils Applied ConneXion™

December 3, 2001

Applied Systems® announced the general release of Applied ConneXionTM, a toolkit or “translator” that allows The Agency Manager® to exchange information with another database using XML technology.

For years, Applied customers have expressed a desire to “connect” their Applied management databases to the Internet or other third-party applications. With Applied ConneXion and the help of Applied Consulting Services, a department of highly trained insurance and technology consultants within Applied Systems, this is now possible.

A good example where Applied ConneXion can benefit an insurance agency would be enabling the agency’s website and The Agency Manager® to pass data back and forth seamlessly. Those data elements could include customer and prospect information, policy detail, claims information, activities, billing information and other data deemed necessary by the agency to fulfill the transaction.

“We are very enthusiastic about the development of Applied ConneXion,” said Wayne Pardue, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our customers have strongly voiced a need for this level of integration, and we have responded by giving them the ability to communicate with third-party applications and web sites. This eliminates the redundant work and re-keying for a tremendous workflow advantage for our clients.”

Pardue also added, “Today, allowing products to communicate across boundaries should be considered a normal business practice, and Applied Systems sees Applied ConneXion as a way of providing that to our customers.”
