Insurance Institute of America (IIA) is making available supplemental study aids for the four courses in its Associate in Claims (AIC) program. These new SMART Supplements are designed to aid people studying for AIC examinations learn and retain key information and concepts.
The SMART Supplements consist of the following:
The Review Notes contain a condensed review of the educational objectives and key points in the course text(s). The educational objectives describe what students need to know when they complete the course and take the national exam.
The Mini Review Notes are a small (4 ¼” x 5 ½”) portable version of the Review Notes.
The Flash Cards contain key terms and phrases on one side and definitions on the other.
Using a narrated PowerPoint presentation, the Guided Study Review on CD-ROM walks the student through each assignment’s main points. Key words and phrases hyperlink to definitions. The CD-ROM includes a free copy of PowerPoint Viewer 97.
The Self-Assessment Disk allows students to test their knowledge of a single assignment, groups of assignments, or an entire AIC course. The questions use a format similar to the one used in the national exam.
