CNA Uses OMMni.com to Improve Cargo Insurance on the Internet

January 17, 2002

CNA has launched a new, enhanced version of OMMni.com, the interactive and fully automated cargo insurance system which is accessible over the Internet to all CNA’s ocean cargo customers worldwide.

Available free of charge to all agents, brokers, and clients, OMMni.com provides an innovative alternative to the traditional time-consuming and paper-intensive method of transacting cargo insurance, and now, with further improvement the system is able to offer the client even more benefits.

According to Bob Schauer, vice president, CNAMarine, OMMni, the company now has the ability to handle all aspects of an ocean cargo policy on the web.

Additional enhancements include:

User-Friendly Features – These include, calendars for date fields and an even simpler declaration form for completion.

Automatic Reminders – OMMni.com will generate automatic email reminders for declaration reporting.

Search Features – Simplified tools to find what you are looking for.

Reporting – A new function is available to create custom reports of shipment information with the ability to export to MS Excel, making it even easier to write and save reports on your PC.

New Look: OMMni.com has been totally re-designed to closely reflect the CNA brand – This reinforces the financial strength and security of CNA and the company’s innovative approach to marine insurance.

Many of these improvements have been developed and implemented due to feedback from CNA clients.

“Our agents, brokers and policyholders have given us tremendous feedback to continuously improve the system,” noted Nigel Jenkins, Global Marine Underwriting Manager. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible software tools backed by our world-class service.”
