Marsh Inc. and GenuOne, Inc., a provider of product and technology security services, announced they have entered into an agreement to help businesses safeguard the integrity of their products, brands and intellectual property.
Through the use of proprietary product and packaging marking technologies and Internet-based distribution channel monitoring services, GenuOne helps corporations manage risk related to the global sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of their products and services.
Marsh arranges a wide range of risk and insurance services, including crisis consulting, reputation risk assessments, brand integrity services and risk solutions to complement GenuOne programs.
According to the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition, counterfeiting represents a $350 billion per year global problem.
Peter Foster, a senior vice president of Marsh, commented that by working with Marsh and GenuOne, clients have access to a spectrum of services that can protect their brands, products and reputations. Foster said while GenuOne provides a number of operational safeguards to identify and prevent product and technology abuses, Marsh can design programs to protect against the financial implications of these occurrences.
