White Mountains Insurance Group announced that Jack Byrne has returned to the post of chief executive, a role he had left for nine months to run a company subsidiary.
Byrne left the post in June to run OneBeacon, which White Mountains bought on June 1. The CEO position was vacant in the interim, according to a company spokesman. Ray Barrette has been appointed chairman of OneBeacon.
