The Board of Directors of the Alliance of American Insurers has named Anthony G. “Tony” Dickson as its new chairman.
Dickson is president and CEO of the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Companies, West Trenton, NJ. He succeeds F.W. “Bill” Purmort, III, president and chairman of the Central Insurance Companies, Van Wert, Ohio.
The Alliance also announced that Klaus G. Dorfi, chairman and CEO of Atlantic Mutual Companies, New York, NY, was named chairman-elect.
Serving as vice chairmen for the 2002-2003 term will be Bruce K. Howson, president and CEO of Sunshine State Insurance Company, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Robert T. Kingsley, president and CEO of Financial Pacific Insurance Company, Sacramento, Calif.
