American International Group Inc. (AIG) named vice president Nicholas C. Walsh president and chief executive of AIU, the company’s international property-casualty insurance organization unit, according to Dow Jones.
Walsh was previously president of American International Underwriters’ U.K./Ireland division and managing director of AIG Europe U.K. Ltd., where he will be succeeded by Daniel Glaser.
Kevin Hogan was named chief operating officer of AIU but will remain president of AIG’s Worldwide Accident and Health unit.
Hogan was named president of the company’s International Accident and Health unit in 1998, and was named an AIG vice president for Foreign General Insurance in 2001.
