St. Paul Cos. Unveils St. Paul Executive ChoiceSM

May 23, 2002

The St. Paul Companies has introduced St. Paul Executive Choice(SM) for Private Companies, a portfolio of products designed to help protect executives and employees of private companies from the risks associated with managing a business.

St. Paul Executive Choice(SM) is tailored to meet the needs of private companies—from small, family-owned businesses to large corporations—by giving them the option to build a customized insurance program that addresses traditional and emerging exposures. This new product includes coverages such as directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime, and kidnap and ransom. These coverages address potential exposures related to overseeing a business such as strategic planning and decision making, managing day-to-day operations, employee relations and administering employee benefit plans.

“We recognize that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to the diverse needs of our policyholders,” John Kearns, president, Financial and Professional Services, The St. Paul Companies, said. “We’ve developed a product that includes a broad range of coverages while incorporating the flexibility for private companies to tailor coverage as their business needs change.”

In addition to covering a variety of private companies’ management liability needs under one program, St. Paul Executive Choice(SM) policyholders gain access to a network of experienced underwriters and specialized claim attorneys.

St. Paul Executive Choice(SM) will be filed on an admitted basis in all 50 states and in Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
