CNA Financial Corp. has appointed Stephen Lilienthal chief executive, succeeding Bernard L. Hengesbaugh, who remains chairman. The move is effective Aug. 26.
Lilienthal has been president and chief executive of the CNA Property & Casualty Operations. He will also be chairman and chief executive of the CNA insurance companies.
