Fireman’s Fund Co. Unveils Prestige Home

August 2, 2002

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company has introduced Prestige® Home Premier—a new insurance policy designed to meet the needs of the discriminating affluent homeowner.

Fireman’s Fund® created Prestige® Home for customers who understand and value protection for fine craftsmanship. It is coverage that protects homes built with custom details, as well as those constructed with rare and imported materials. Fireman’s Fund demonstrates its commitment to affluent homeowners by offering loss prevention and security analysis, including a detailed survey report.

Prestige Home pays the Full Cost Replacement Coverage of a policyholder’s home — no matter what the replacement may cost. In addition, if the policyholder chooses not to rebuild, they can opt for a cash settlement. Prestige Home Premier offers the highest level of protection (also available for luxury condos and co-ops) and is an incomparable policy covering homeowners with broad insurance needs. An optional Added Measure(SM) endorsement is available, further broadening coverage. Benefits of coverage include:

• Identity Fraud covers up to $10,000 (or up to $25,000 with the Added Measure endorsement) for expenses incurred if someone were to steal personal information and run up charges in the policyholder’s name.
• Kidnap and Ransom Expense pays up to $10,000 (or up to $25,000 with the Added Measure(SM) endorsement) for costs incurred, such as attorney fees, travel expenses and interest on loans to pay ransom monies.
• Deductibles of $10,000 or less waived if loss to covered property exceeds $50,000, adding extra protection for large claims.
• Business Property Coverage on or off premises up to $10,000 (or up to $25,000 with the Added Measure endorsement) including the cost to recreate business records giving business travelers extra peace of mind.

Prestige® Home Premier also offers advantages such as: a cash settlement option for personal property, replacement cost coverage for other structures, increased protection for jewelry and furs, Personal Injury coverage and liability for multiple residences.

In addition, Fireman’s Fund simplified and clarified the policy language and grouped sections by Definitions, Coverages, Losses Not Covered and Conditions for easier understanding and navigation through the policy.

Available coverages may vary by state.
