The Property Insurance Section of The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and the Property Loss Research Bureau (PLRB) will jointly sponsor a conference for senior insurance executives and lawyers on cutting-edge issues currently faced by high-level first party property insurance executives. The one-day conference, entitled “Critical Issues for Senior Property Insurance Executives and In-House Counsel,” will take place on Oct. 28 at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago.
In addition to its “Business Interruption Forum” and presentation on “Special Causation Issues, Ensuing Loss and Mold Claims,” the program will include a review of recent case law from across the country, explore the attorney-client privilege and discovery issues in property litigation, and provide pointers for handling claims for loss of electronic data and reinsuring property losses.
Faculty members include Mark Feinberg, Douglas Houser, Jacqueline Jauregui, Steven Pate, Janet Brown, John McCabe, Michael Schroder, Marvin Karp, Stephen Goldman, Thomas Brown, Alan Miller, Norman Sade and Mitchell Orpett. All are nationally recognized property insurance lawyers in private practice and are FDCC members. Stephen Goldman, a Vice-President of the FDCC, will chair the event.
Information about the PLRB, including registration and program information for this conference, can be found at www.plrb.org.
