The Lumbermens Mutal Casualty Co., the largest subsidiary of Chicago-based Kemper Insurance Cos., has reported a $205 million loss for 2002 with the Illinois Department of Insurance, a Kemper spokesperson has confirmed.
Kemper would not comment on the loss, but the spokesperson said the company will be releasing a statement with more detail about the loss and a comment later in the week.
