Larry Forrester has been appointed as the president and CEO of the Insurance Education Foundation (IEF).
Recently retired as president and CEO of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), Forrester assumes leadership of the IEF immediately. He succeeds Jack Clanton, who passed away recently after a battle with cancer.
“Larry Forrester has served the property/casualty industry for more than 30 years and is respected throughout the industry, said Stephen Collesano, vice president of AIG and IEF chairman. “His relationship with the senior management of a diverse group of insurance companies will enable him to communicate the mission of the Foundation and to expand industry efforts to teach high school educators about insurance and its role in society.”
The Insurance Education Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization devoted to improving public understanding of the role of insurance in society. The foundation pursues this mission primarily through education at the secondary school level.
