The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) released the salaries of its top five officers, who earned more than $1 million combined.
NAIC Executive Vice President Catherine J. Weatherford was paid $294,805.
The managing director of the NAIC’s Securities Valuation Office, Chris Evangel, was paid $246,010.
Washington, D.C.-based Director David Wetmore was paid $184,062.
General Counsel Andy Beal was paid $162,286. Life and health actuary Mark Peavy was paid $158,116.
The pay of three of the top five staffers went down in 2003 from the previous year, by as much as 5 percent.
