CATEX announced that New Jersey-based reinsurance intermediary, JLT Re Solutions, Inc., a member of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, has agreed to license a web-based Reinsurance Transaction System based on the CATEX proprietary Pivot Point Technology.
“The system is entirely web-based and can permit a reinsurance intermediary to fully manage all aspects of its business on line, any time, from any location in the world,” said the bulletin. “Pivot Point Technology also permits a reinsurance intermediary to offer enhanced system access to its clients and markets if it so chooses.” JLT Re will begin deploying the system in July.
R.K. Cooney, CEO of JLT Re Solutions, commented, “We are excited about the implementation of the CATEX system, particularly the ability to further enhance our client services, and the efficiencies we expect to gain within JLT Re.”
CATEX CEO Frank Fortunato, noted, “We have known JLT Re for a long time and we look forward to working with them on this project and bringing increased services to them and to their clients through Pivot Point Technology.”
CATEX described its Pivot Point Technology system as “composed of an extensive range of proprietary applications and has been developed using exclusively Microsoft technology. The technology can provide the full range of transaction components for a reinsurance transaction as managed by an intermediary. The technology may be customized to accommodate specific client requests or may be used in a basic version.”
