R2K Announces Insurance Processing Outsourcing

IT services company R2K, Inc. announced that its NY headquarters office, working with its wholly-owned subsidiary, InnovaTeam in Bangalore, India, will offer a turnkey business process outsourcing (BPO) solution for back-office insurance processing.

“The new service leverages: 1) R2K’s years of technical expertise in imaging and workflow with proven solutions for insurance; and 2) a reliable offshore deployment methodology to reduce costs, yet maintain quality,” said the bulletin.

According to Richard Yien, R2K’s President, “Back-office insurance processing is an optimal application for offshore outsourcing because work steps best performed in the US-based insurance company vs. those to be completed offshore are easily segmented and placed into an electronic workflow.”

As an example R2K noted that “new policy submissions and renewals can be scanned in the U.S and automatically routed to R2K’s Bangalore operation for data-entry and pre-underwriting functions, then automatically routed back to the U.S.-based operations for underwriting and policy issuance. The scanned documents are indexed and archived on optical disk to facilitate business continuation and disaster recovery.”
