Applied Underwriters Appoints Ferenc as Chairman; Menzies as President

Applied Underwriters, based in San Francisco, Calif., has announced the appointment of Sidney R. Ferenc as chairman of the board, and Steven M. Menzies as president.

Ferenc assumes the position of chairman, while continuing in his capacity of chief executive officer. The Applied Underwriters’ board of directors also approved the appointment of Menzies as president in addition to his duties as chief operating officer.

Ferenc and Menzies founded Applied Underwriters in 1994. Applied Underwriters provides workers’ compensation coverage with employer-related services to small-to-medium sized businesses.
