The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) announced that its 2004 National Conference and Empowerment Summit, to be held Sept. 16-18 in Chicago, will feature keynote speaker John W. Rogers Jr., chairman and CEO of Chicago-based Ariel Capital Management LLC, an institutional money management firm with more than $18 billion in assets.
“Rogers is someone who knows how to lead and be successful,” said Jerald Tillman, CEO of Cincinnati-based J.L. Tillman Insurance Agency and NAAIA’s founder. “We will be honored to hear him speak at our conference.”
Rogers serves as a corporate board member at Aon Corp.; Exelon Corp.; and McDonald’s Corp. Also dedicated to giving back to the community, Rogers’ civic affiliations include his role as chairman of the Chicago Urban League and board member of the University of Chicago.
