How ironic. If the powers that be at the NAIC were really serious about the budget, they shoud look twice at their self styled “CEO” – who insists that all her department heads demonstrate “leadership” by firing people in their departments. After all she only makes $300,000 plus a year AND all the benefits of being married to her husband, who along with his company make millions selling bonds to the same companies she is supposed to oversee. Conflict of interest???? – not when it comes to her pocketbook!!!
I agree. If true, its a clear conflict – even if disclosed. If it was disclosed I wonder if she actually told the commissioners just how much her husband and his company made off bond sales and the like to the regulated companies. Regardless, she and her general counsel certainly have a reputation for being ruthless.
