APPEX (Agency Peak Performance EXchange), a subsidiary of MarshBerry, has announced the addition of four new members to its network of 96 independent insurance agencies from 35 states nationwide. The new members include: Al Purmort Insurance Agency, Sarasota, Fla.; San Joaquin Valley Insurance Associates Inc., Fresno, Calif.; Sawyer Cook Insurance, Redlands, Calif.; and Van Zandt, Emrich & Cary Inc., Louisville, Ky.
Al Purmort Sr. founded the Al Purmort Insurance Agency in September 1985 after leaving the Purmort and Martin Agency, which he started from scratch with his father in 1958. Al Purmort Jr. joined the Al Purmort Insurance Agency in 1993 to carry on the Purmort family’s rich tradition in the insurance industry.
Established in 1983, San Joaquin Valley Insurance Associates Inc. services business and residential communities in California and holds non-resident licenses in several other states. The agency specializes in providing insurance for religious institutions and private schools, as well as specialty products to a variety of industries including non-profit social service organizations.
Sawyer Cook Insurance was founded in 1924. Under the leadership of Darrel Olson, president/CEO, the company handles local, regional and national commercial insurance accounts, and offers a variety of other financial and insurance services.
Van Zandt, Emrich & Cary Inc. has a long tradition of insuring families and businesses in the greater Louisville, Ky. area that dates back over 85 years. The firm is one of the oldest and largest insurance agencies in the area.
