“Agent” said it perfectly: AIG is the insurance industry’s Mafia.

I am so disappointed that E. Spitzer has decided not to press criminal charges against Greenberg and his upper management team.

It has become apparent that there was systematic fraud, deception, and unfair practices going on at AIG. Greenberg knew or should have known exactly what was going on as he was the “night watchman”. As we can see from Mr. Sullivan’s statement, these illegal and unethical practices were not limited to just the US.

With our regrets it appears that the complete text of the letter from Mr. Sullivan was not forwarded to all publications properly.

The following is a copy of the ultimate paragraph of the full text:

“If you have received this letter in error or believe that it has been sent to you mistakenly, please shred this letter. If you are the correct party and it was sent to you properly, please shred this letter along with any other letters you may have received from our offices.”

    Thank you.

I haven’t met one honest person who has ever worked there.

    dear “agent”

i worked for a.i.g. for five years as a human resources professional. i would not agree with you that honest people don’t work there. there were many smart, honest management who did work there. but the corporate culture was rotten from, not to, the core. greenberg fostered an internal culture of “we make the rules” and being so hugely successful, their senior executives, the street and all associated parties loved them. i had a terrible time working there and when i was able to leave, i did and am forever happy to have done that.

The industry continues to suffer for the reprehensible acts of these disgusting individuals.

Police yourselves, remove the guilty parties and act responsibly. Those allowing and condoning the behavior within AIG should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and excised from the industry.
