Victor O. Schinnerer and Company announced the launch of SpecialtyOne, an E&O insurance program for management consultants and staffing firms. The program will be written through Brit, a Lloyd’s syndicate.
Target risks for the program include a range of consultants – such as management consultants, marketing consultants, human resource consultants, public relations consultants and market research firms-and staffing firms like employment agencies, temporary staffing firms and executive recruiting firms.
“Many of these firms currently go without insurance,” noted Mark Wolf, assistant vice president and program manager. “In our increasingly litigious environment, securing E&O coverage becomes critical to doing business.”
The SpecialtyOne duty-to-defend policy also features defense coverage against allegations of criminal, dishonest, fraudulent or malicious errors and omissions and an innocent insured provision. Claims will be handled by a third-party administrator specializing in professional liability claims.
The policy is available in all states on a non-admitted basis except Alaska, Hawaii, and Kentucky. Coverage will soon be available in Kentucky and Illinois. Schinnerer works with independent agents, brokers and wholesalers. No special licensing is necessary.
SpecialtyOne is Schinnerer’s first enterprise with a Lloyd’s syndicate.
