Guy Carpenter & Company Inc., a global risk and reinsurance specialist and a part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, announced that Jack Snyder has joined the company as a managing director and manager of Business Development for the Americas, reporting to Executive Vice President Michael Schnur, who leads the unit.
Snyder, 45, was chief marketing officer for American Re where he was responsible for a wide range of marketing activities.
Previously, Snyder was chief ratings officer for the A.M. Best Company. Earlier in his career, Snyder was a securities analyst following the insurance industry for Smith Barney and also was an underwriter for General Reinsurance Corporation.
