Risk management professionals and insurance underwriters will reportedly enhance their understanding of industrial and commercial risks, as A.M. Best Co. releases the third and final flow of its 2005 Best’s Loss Control Manual.
Included in this release are several new and extensively revised classifications, including the latest risk information on public bus companies, music stores and more.
Published since 1968, Best’s Loss Control Manual serves as an industry standard training reference for new risk managers and underwriters. Containing concise descriptions of more than 500 risk classifications, the Manual helps users quantify the degree of exposure in relevant lines of insurance. Through a checklist format, users of the Manual are reportedly able to quickly become familiar with every aspect of a risk, even if it’s a unique classification.
New and extensively revised classifications are released on CD-ROM three times a year. The Manual is also available online, in addition to the CD-ROM version, and its content is refreshed as soon as new information is available.
Original risk classification articles supplied in the second release of 2005 include:
* Fur Garment Manufacturing
* Pasta Manufacturing
* Public Bus Companies
* Team Dealers
In addition, several classifications have been extensively revised to reflect current industry standards. They include:
