A team of four reinsurance brokers — all specializing in the placement and servicing of facultative and program reinsurance — has joined John B. Collins Associates Inc.

The brokers all previously worked for Palmer & Cay Reinsurance Services LLC. They will serve clients nationwide from their offices in Hartford, Conn.

The new Collins facultative team includes:

— John W. Threlfall, senior vice president and manager of Collins’ new Hartford office. A broker with Palmer & Cay since 2002, Threlfall, 53, previously worked for 27 years for Guy Carpenter and Company, Inc., in various senior reinsurance broker positions in New York City and Hartford.
— Peter V. Jackson, senior vice president. Jackson, 47, has worked in insurance and reinsurance for 24 years. Since 2004 he was national manager of Palmer & Cay’s property facultative division. He also spent 15 years with Guy Carpenter as managing director of that firm’s property facultative division.
— John F. Gentile, 42, senior vice president. Gentile’s 17-year
insurance and reinsurance career includes property facultative brokering over the past 10 years. Most recently, he was senior vice president and regional manager at Palmer & Cay. Earlier, he was senior vice president and property facultative manager at Guy Carpenter.
— Salvatore M. LoBello, 43, senior vice president. LoBello’s 20-year

reinsurance and insurance.
