American International Group Inc. has named Eric N. Litzky as vice president for corporate governance. He has also been named special counsel and secretary to the Board of Directors.
Litzky will report directly to the AIG board on corporate governance and other board matters. He will continue to provide counsel to AIG in the general corporate, corporate finance and securities law areas. Secretary to the Board of Directors is a new position.
Kathleen E. Shannon continues to serve as senior vice president and secretary of the corporation.
Litzky joined AIG in 1995 as an assistant general counsel and assistant secretary and became associate general counsel and assistant secretary in 2001. He was named special counsel to the board earlier this year.
Prior to joining AIG, Litzky was an associate with the law firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon LLP.
