Duane Morris has named William J. Casey to head of the law firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group.
Casey was the former managing partner of the San Francisco office of Hancock, Rothert and Bunshoft – which merged with Duane Morris on Jan. 1. Duane Morris’ Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group specializes in all aspects of the insurance and re-insurance industries including corporate, regulatory, transactional, and contentious claims resolution.
A partner in Duane Morris’ San Francisco office, Casey practices in the area of professional liability insurance coverage and litigation. His practice also involves the defense of insurers and reinsurers in complex insurance coverage actions and arbitrations.
A member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco, he is a 1984 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Santa Clara Law Review, and a 1980 graduate of Stanford University.
