with AAA you get plenty more thatn just roadside assistance. they have a DMV registration service in most of there local offices. they also have a full travel service including free maps and tourbooks. i have been a pround member of AAA since the 80\’s and i still refer people to them when ever i can..

Most new cars come with towing/service packages they are only good for the first 36K miles of the vehicle, and most automobiles will have minor problems, flat tires, lockouts or out of fuel. It\’s best to know what your insurance company offers, many times consumers will pay for towing through their insurance and opt to pay extra for AAA. With AAA, you must have a membership first in order to have insurance which is one benefit to belonging. Having double coverage is just that, and if one insurance/tow carrier pays for the towing your other insurance/tow carrier will not reimburse you.
Please learn your coverage\’s, it will only benefit you in the long run.
The towing on an insurance policy is ususally restricted to post-accident, not to mechanical breakdown. On a manufacturer\’s policy, it usually must be a warranty-covered item, so no hoses, belts, tires, out-of-gas, etc. Gotta check ALL the rules!
For AAA Members in NorCal the cost is $49 per year. And you get all of the benifits covering any car you are in.
