Professional Underwriters, am Exton, Pa.-based national program administrator for public entities based in Exton, Pa., has added 50 new coverage enhancements to its school program.
According to Tom Ruddy, vice president of marketing, the endorsements are for property, general liability and auto coverage and are designed specifically to meet the needs of both public and private schools.
He said the enhancements include the broadest definition of “who is an insured” in the industry, flexibility to modify coverages to fit customers needs, ability to provide greater limits and deductibles, and replacement cost on buses.
“We believe that we have the most comprehensive insurance program in the country for the public entities; and by adding the new coverage enhancements, our program became that much stronger,” Ruddy added.
Professional Underwriters’ Textbook Insurance and Community Works Insurance Programs are the company’s primary focus. Textbook was designed to meet the insurance needs of public and private schools, while Community Works serves the municipality and public entity marketplace.
