Main Street America Expands Businessowners Policy

The Main Street America Group is rolling out its expanded omnibus businessowners policy (BOP), featuring 100 new eligible classes in the product’s wholesale, retail and services programs.

In addition, Main Street America’s BOP’s office program now includes an expanded list of 43 classes.

“The businesses along Main Street have been changing and to continue to serve this market effectively we needed to enhance our product line,” said Henry Pippins, Main Street America’s vice president, commercial lines. “We made improvements to our already solid BOP package, reflecting the evolving marketplace, our broader risk appetite and our commitment to becoming a leading player in the small commercial market.”

The new product will available in all states where Main Street America writes business, except Florida.

The Main Street America Group operates four property and casualty insurance carriers: NGM Insurance Company, Old Dominion Insurance Company, Main Street America Assurance Company and MSA Insurance Company. Based in Jacksonville, Fla., the company insures more than 500,000 policyholders along the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Florida. The company has regional offices in Jacksonville; Keene, N.H.; Richmond, Va.; and Syracuse, N.Y., and a claims adjuster center in Auburn, Mass.
