The management at One Beacon is so inept that if White Mountains doesn\’t keep their thumb on them they will fail miserably. They already ran CU and GA into the ground and the same clowns are running the circus. Lemmings Management at it\’s worst.

If you are an OB agent, try getting a clue. CGU was on a death spiral before WTM got involved and virtualy none of the management that destroyed those legacy companies have been around for years.

Learn to read moron. I\’m saying that Wt Mountains saved them. I\’m not blaming them. The Foxbough clan which makes up the largest region is still there.

Ok kids, let\’s play nice. The truth is that anyone who had any business education knows that one a company has been sold more than twqice it is in serious trouble.

On the up side Mr. Buffet knows one thing-how to make money. So let\’s put soome trust into his ability to pick a good mngt team.

I believe ALL agents saw the end coming. Let\’s hope this does work ouot.

You write so clearly. You are a true credit to the independent agency system

I wouldn\’t invest in One Beacon if this is the same book of business acquired from Atlantic Mutual. Giving away the house will never bring in profit. Atlantic\’s shortcomings were that it treated its employees like Bull Cockazoid (Roanoke sucks!) Those employees who tried bringing in a premium that commensurated with the exposures presented were chastised for upsetting \”loyal agents.\” In the end Atlantic Mutual is a miserable failure and those who took its book of business will not be far behind.

Is Mike Keane still there? I met him at an agents event. He was less than impressive and his employees badmouthed his integrity ande ability the whole time. I moved most of my book subsequently.

You probably thought the American Reliance and Vik Brothers deal was good too. Going way back to Crum & Forster to GA to CGU and then to One Beacon. You can call crap whatever you want to call it but it still stinks. Let\’s not foget the addition of all the great business that sunk Atlantic Mutual.

You question a guy\’s intergrity in an open forum like this? Why don\’t you identify yourself so people can line up for your testimonials? Gutless.

How many boat anchors can they weigh themselves down with before the ship starts to take on water? The lighthouse is on the precipice, looking for the street to the come to the rescue in an IPO salvage operation and re-float them. They must first squeeze the proverbial sponge and get rid of the bilge water they\’ve taken on before this ship can be righted.

You also forgot to mention the agencies that went out of business or sold because they ran their business into the ground, excluding this honorable group of course.
