The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) announced today that it has named Nancy Grover as its new media relations director.

Grover, who will be based in NAMIC’s Washington, D.C. office, will promote the positions of the organization and the member companies it serves to key target audiences to advance NAMIC’s advocacy agenda on both the state and federal levels, NAMIC’s release said.

Grover has been a working journalist in the broadcasting and publishing fields for over two decades, serving most recently as managing editor for a Florida-based publishing company where she wrote a newsletter devoted to workers’ compensation, as well as articles for Risk and Insurance magazine. She was an account representative for MetLife, where she marketed various insurance products. She is also the program chair of the annual National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference & Expo.

“I’m excited by this opportunity,” Grover said. “This is a great organization and I look forward to sharing NAMIC’s unique perspective with the trade press and mainstream media.”
