Specialty Underwriters’ Alliance, Inc. has amended its agreement with Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. to include small employer’ workers’ compensation.
AUI will provide workers’ compensation through approximately 600 retail agents. The program will be available to small businesses of less than $15,000 in premium with relatively low hazard grades.
The program will initially focus on Texas, Nevada and Illinois and will likely expand into additional states in the future.
AUI writes approximately $350 million in workers’ compensation each year and is licensed in over 40 states.
Specialty Underwriters’ Alliance, Inc., through its subsidiary SUA Insurance Co., is a specialty commercial property and casualty insurance company that uses exclusive wholesale agents serving niche groups of insureds. These targeted customers include tow trucks, professional employee organizations, public entities and contractors.
