Al Gore will make a movie about this problem, showing us how gutting our economy will save us from earthquakes, and everything will be ok again!

    It\’s for the children!

All the hot air coming out of Gore & his media buddies are causing more warming than the big \”carbon problems\”.

why can\’t the scientist just agree on this? I live close by and need to know. When it comes to global warming, the scientists all agree; I know this because Algore tells us so. So, maybe Algore can get the earthquakesciencepeople together and reach a consensus and discredit the other who disagree so I will know who to believe.

If Al were to agree to lay his girth over the fault area, any temblor would be absorbed and dissipated by his quivering flesh. Bet you never thought you would see the phrase \’quivering flesh\’ in the Insurance Journal. For Al Gore impersonation, repeat after me slowly, with slight southern accent – \’I\’m smart, you\’re dumb\’.

Once again, IJ readers exhibit their ignorance and lack of critical thinking. The Bush-Rove-Cheney team of have so poisoned this country that rational discourse is impossible. Only empty-headed political posturing unrelated to the substance of the story.

The comments all operate on the level of that other Bush family gift–Dan Potatoe Quayle. We shoulda seen it comin\’!

    I pity our children.

Clinton and Gore met repeadly in the WH with Ken Lay, chairman of Enron, to devise the \”carbon offset\” brokerage Enron was going to make a killing with. This is described in Enron memos.

The Kyoto treaty was written in consultation with Enron. First the libs invented a problem that has nothing to do with man – \”global warming – then they make its \”solution\” mandatory – \”carbon offsets\” purchased from Enron, GE, etc.

Since Enron went under Gore started his own \”carbon offset\” brokerage and buys his \”offsets\” for his homes from his own company. You know, the homes that consume fifty times the enegery that the average American home consumes.

So it\’s not far fetched to believe that Gore et al will come up with a solution for earthquakes: and that it will involve lots of \”greenies\” including Gore making a killing on the \”solution.\”

Pssst. Media Mogul. You are only proving what Sean Hannity has been saying for years…that liberals attack and insult. Where is the love? What did you add to this subject?

Scientist disagree…now that\’s just being redundant.

I like your moniker. Media Mogul…can you explain to me why gangsta-rap is considered music? Why network situational comedies regularly portray married white male parenal role models as bumbling idiots?

We could talk about catastrophe funds that our industry will not be allowed to develop or fund to adequate levels by elected officials. We understand the reality and use humor as a release for all those things out of our control.

To Gill Fin, I liked the quivering flesh line.

Maybe we could start a forum for real discussions. IJ is kind enough to give us such great topics and unfortunately the political posturing is distracting and unproductive. I do carry earthquake coverage even in Concord NH!

    ad,

Funny you should speak of myths. Cargon offsets is a creation of Republicans. It was created to allow corporate polluters the ability to pollute more if the plant in the next county was not polluting it\’s \”fair share\”.

Enron, Clinton and Gore met repeatedly in the WH to set up a brokerage for carb credits that would be enforced by the Kyoto treaty. Enron memos detail the discussions, and its positive potential effects on Enron\’s stock. El factomongo, amigo.

You\’ve sparked my curiosity on the carbon offsets, but it doesn\’t matter. Gore and his carbon offsets is rediculous. He\’s burning more fuel at his home than many small cities in the USA. As in Animal Farm, it\’s all of us are equal, but some more equal than others.

Not exactly clear in my earlier post, the myth I am referring to is Gorebal warming presented by Gore, not the carbon offsets.

Carbon offsets is a pretty old concept. Dubya used them profusely while he was gov. of Texas, which is one of the reasons Texas is the most polluted state in the country. While Bush didn\’t invent it either, he sure ran with it pretty heavily.

It\’s a ridiculous concept no matter who uses it. Allowing you to pollute more because I don\’t pollute my fair share is accomplishing absolutely nothing to reduce our collective footprints.
