Utica National Adds Automation Edge to Enhance Commercial Lines

Utica National is giving business owners and agents an edge —aCommercial EDGE, that is.

Utica’s new product line and processing system for small- to mid-sized commercial business, Commercial EDGE promises custom-fit insurance protection plus new automation that lets agents rate and issue all lines of business right from their desktop.

“In addition to allowing our agents to submit and process business electronically,” Utica National Senior Marketing/Sales Officer Dan Daly said, “Commercial EDGE features coverage enhancements and an expanded number of eligible classes.”

Enhancements that broaden or increase limits of coverage based on each customer’s needs range from equipment breakdown and accounts receivable to employment-related practices liability defense and medical expense coverage.

Utica National has introduced its new product line and processing system to agents and policyholders in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York state.

The company plans to complete roll-out by June 2006 in Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
