NIP Programs Grows Greener with GrowPro for Nurseries, Garden Centers

NIP Programs, a division of NIP Group, Inc., has expanded its green industry insurance offering with the launch of GrowPro, an insurance program designed specifically for greenhouses, nurseries and independent garden centers across the country.

GrowPro is a complement to NIP’s LandPro- TreePro program, which insures landscapers and tree services, according to Dave Springer, president of NIP Programs.

Springer said some of his firm’s green industry insureds are also involved in growing and selling plants. Nowr brokers do not have to search for separate coverage for these operations with the development of GrowPro.

GrowPro is underwritten by an AM Best A+ rated carrier (Company Size XV). Available coverages include general liability, business auto, property, product liability, and several custom coverages. The program also includes workers’ compensation and umbrella liability coverage.

Springr noted that NIP Prorgams is in the process of developing a third green industry program focusing on excavating and land improvement contractors.
