Ironshore Inc. announced two professionals have joined its professional liability facility, IronPro.
Peter McKeegan is senior vice president supporting underwriting and additionally wholesale producer servicing; and Tom Monaghan will serve as vice president responsible for developing and managing IronPro’s errors and omissions insurance capabilities.
McKeegan has 20 years of insurance industry experience, including 15 years with AIG and four with Arch Insurance Group. He was also founder of Axcelera Specialty Risk, and most recently served with Mercator Risk Services as executive vice president overseeing the Management and Professional Liability Group.
Monaghan has 25 years of professional liability experience in the specialty lines industry, most recently serving as managing director of Specialty Global Insurance Services, a leading underwriting and claims manager offering Professional Liability products. Prior to joining Specialty Global, he spent 17 years as senior vice president at Gulf Insurance Group, responsible for overseeing all professional liability lines.
IronPro, based in New York, was launched in May 2007 by Ironshore to provide professional liability insurance, with an initial focus on directors and officers liability products.
Ironshore Inc. was created in December 2006 with over $1 billion in equity capital. Ironshore Insurance Ltd., the principal operating subsidiary, has a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and financial size category XI by A.M. Best Co.
