Zurich announced that Ann Haugh will become chief operating officer for Global Corporate in North America (GCiNA) effective Sept. 1, 2007.
Haugh’s primary responsibility will be executing on the GCiNA strategy and managing operating results to ensure alignment with the goals, policies and objectives of Zurich’s global operations. She will also help GCiNA identify opportunities, challenges and emerging issues that may affect the unit’s operations. Haugh will be based in New York and report to Mario Vitale, CEO, Zurich Global Corporate in North America. Since April 2007, Haugh has been executive vice president of Zurich’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) unit.
From 1996 to 2002, Haugh worked for Zurich in a variety of underwriting and management roles. She then spent five years as Arch Insurance Group’s chief underwriting officer, and chief operating officer for the commercial and financial institutions groups of that company’s executive assurance department. She rejoined Zurich in her current role in April 2007.
