The Hanover Insurance Group Inc., has strengthened its underwriting capabilities with the appointment of Robert Collins as chief underwriting officer for the Southeast and Central regions, including the states of Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Based out of the company’s Dallas office, Collins will oversee the company’s underwriting operations in the two regions.
Collins comes to The Hanover from CNA Insurance Co., where he served as vice president, managing all insurance operations for the company’s Virginia territory. Prior to that, he was vice president for the southern region of the Argonaut Insurance Co. He also has held underwriting management positions at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.
