I know there are people that will use this to bash us. We are peace loving people.

    CN,

Your post is a joke, right? Do you spend your time doing speed and watching endless “24” re-runs? Do you use the following meaningless slogans in everything you write /say: “national security;” “our nation’s fight against terrorism;” “Islamofascism;” “making the world safe for democracy;” “al-Qaeda;” “everything’s changed (since 9/11);” and any other meaningless phrase parroted from the media? Do you worship Michael Savage?

Chill out, take a cruise, get a massage, or drink a beer and stop foaming at the mouth.

Your comments are a bit out of line CN. Please study a religion as a whole prior to making automatic assumptions. I’ll name a sorrowful time in the history of Christianity.. “the Inquisition”. There are extremists in every religion and region that give the rest a bad name.

What we are truly fighting is ignorance and you have to realize that the majority of the people in the affected areas are innocents that would prefer their daily lives not be disrupted by explosions.

And before you start trying to flame me, I’m an agnostic. I don’t believe in your church.

CN – chill out man. Muslims are no more hate-mongering than anyone else. And how can anyone hate a religion that spawned a culture that gave us the concept of zero? C’mon, that’s some good stuff. They also gave us the numbers we use. And better navigation. And universities.

Fatima, hopefully we’ll get over this thing soon and realize it’s not “Islamofacists” we’re fighting, but whackos, and that whackos come in all stripes. Keep the faith.

Note to CN – her faith is not my faith. She should keep it anyway.

If memory serves, before 9/11, the largest terrorist attack on the U.S. was by a Christian American. Remember Oklahoma?

No matter how many green cards you get, you’ll never be good enough to be an American. God doesn’t recruit suicide bombers to kill children and innocent americans. So go paint your red dot on your head and tie your hair in a towl. That won’t get you in heaven.

CN – dude, chill. And the dot is not Muslim, it’s Hindu – get your bigotry straight.

“Under God” was added to the pledge in the 1950’s as a reaction to the “red menace”. It was another side-effect of the McCarthy era. The original pledge was simply, “I pledge allegience to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands.” The “indivisible” bit was after the civil war.

And last I checked, this will piss you off, the three Abrahamic faiths all worship the same God. Go figure.
