The Brownyard Group, based in Bay Shore, N.Y., added Arch Insurance Co. as an admitted carrier for its PI Protect program, which serves private investigators and security consultants.
Arch Insurance Co., rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best, is the new carrier for the PI Protect program, replacing Arch Specialty Insurance Co., which had provided program coverage on an excess and surplus lines basis. Both companies are part of the Arch Insurance Group.
“We’re pleased to stay within the Arch Insurance Group to add an admitted carrier for this program and make PI Protect available to more agents and brokers across the country,” said Torrence Brownyard, president of the Brownyard Group.
The Brownyard Group developed the first liability coverage program for security guards and private investigators in 1951. Today’s program, PI Protect, was developed by Brownyard in cooperation with ASIS International, the largest organization of security professionals. Specialized liability coverage is designed for private investigators, security consultants, arson/fire investigators, accident/ reconstruction professionals and expert testimony witnesses.
