Swett & Crawford has appointed David V. Christopherson as deputy general counsel for the company. He is a specialist in mergers and acquisitions and has extensive experience with financial services organizations.
Since 2004, Christopherson has been an associate with King & Spalding LLP, an Atlanta-based firm, where he worked with the firm’s Corporate Team on both corporate and transactional issues involving mergers, acquisitions and other commercial contracts. He began his legal career in 1999 at Sullivan & Crowell LLP in New York City where he was a member of the Financial Institutions and Mergers & Acquisition Groups. His primary focus there was on M&A, securities, banking and general corporate law. Christopherson earned his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and served as associate editor of the Harvard International Law Journal.
At Swett & Crawford, Christopherson will work with general counsel Elizabeth Edelman and the Senior Leadership Team in implementing several elements of the firm’s strategic growth plan and facilitating insurance coverage reviews and regulatory compliance.
